Places to visit:
1. Nilsagar:Thestory of Nilsagar dates back during the reign of Raja Birat of Gorgram. Duringhis period, there were many cow farms in the area. So, Raja Birat dug a bigdighi for the cows, which later became the Nilsagar. The entire waterbody issurrounded by brick walls long with a well decorated ghat. Every year duringBaishakh, a grand village fair takes place on the banks of the dighi. The fairis very popular because devotional singers play different kinds of spiritualsongs for the public.
2. ChiniMasjid: Otherwise, known as the Glass Mosque, the ChiniMasjid was built in 1863 by Haji Bakir Ali Ahmed. 283 pieces of cross marblestones, 25 tons of small chips of china ware plates and pieces of glassporcelain were used to decorate the masjid. The masjid has a total of 27 towersof which 5 are still incomplete.
